Adam Dance responds to news that Bus Services in Somerset will be saved

Adam Dance, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, who attended the Yeovil rally against closure of bus services in South Somerset on Saturday 10th February, says:

"I am very pleased that First Bus South and Somerset Council have together found a way to keep these important bus services running at least for the next 12 months.  It is important for our communities and for our environment that buses are available and used by local residents and visitors to the county.

"Somerset Council is in a very tricky position financially and so it is a great achievement that these bus routes have been saved.  The residents of Yeovil, Wincanton and surrounding areas will be relieved that their bus service will continue. We all have a role to play in supporting our bus services by using them when appropriate.
