Gary Molloy

Gary Molloy - The Local champion demanding better for Chard Jocelyn WardGary Molloy has lived in Chard for 22 years. He started his career in retail in London followed by Hygrade in Chard. After 3 years due to a planned closure, he stepped into the metal heat treatment sector in the automotive and aerospace industry. He is now working at Numatic. Gary’s wife Lisa is a teacher specialising in special needs. Gary and Lisa have 3 children and 2 adopted children, one has a diagnosis of autism. Gary is fully aware how children services and the social care system works.

Gary said: “I run various groups, including one supporting local businesses in and around Chard to promote shopping locally. I also run a group to help employees of Oscar Mayer, offering FREE mental health support, new employment, retraining, and further education. The group is now fully open to anyone locally needing support during the pandemic or facing job loss. I also run ‘Auesome Chard’ which is a group offering support to families regarding Autism. I also have an understanding of how drug abuse affects families.“

“I am at the point of my life where I can return the goodwill of the people of Chard. I'm here to support everyone, whether that be with advice on children services, debt, disability, employment, supporting the future generations, or the reopening of clubs for the older generation. It would be an honour to be elected as the Councillor for Chard Jocelyn.”
