LAWS TO VISIT SOUTH PETHERTON COMMUNITY CENTRE
David Laws, MP for Yeovil Constituency, will visit the newly opened a new Community Information Centre in South Petherton this Friday.
The drop in centre will provide a contact point for the police, local councillors and various clubs and groups in South Petherton.
It will open six days a week, and over 140 hours of volunteer time has already been pledged. The centre will allow Police Community Support Officers to start and end their day in South Petherton, rather than travelling from Somerton, and hold regular surgeries in the premises.
David Laws MP said:
“The Community Information Centre will be an excellent new facility for South Petherton.
“It gives residents an easy way to contact the police or their councillors, and will act as a centre for many groups in the community.
“I would like to congratulate local councillor Paull Robathon, the Parish Council and all those who have worked so hard to make the centre possible.”
ENDS.
