LAWS TO LAY SOUTH PETHERTON HOSPITAL FOUNDATION STONE
David Laws, MP for Yeovil constituency, will join League of Friends chair Mary Robertson to lay the foundation stone for the new South Petherton Hospital in a ceremony on Friday 6 November.
The ceremony will begin at 3:15pm.
David Laws MP said:
“This is a wonderful moment - the end of a long campaign to rebuild the hospital, and the beginning for new NHS facilities which will serve our community for years into the future.
“The people of South Petherton and the surrounding area have fought long and hard for a new hospital, and I am sure they will be relieved to see work start on the site.
“I congratulate them, and thank the South West Strategic Health Authority and Somerset Primary Care Trust for their commitment to the project.”
