Laws welcomes reopening of merriott post office on new site

News that Merriott Post Office is to be reopened in Broadway Service Station on 2nd July has been welcomed by David Laws, MP for Yeovil Constituency. David Laws today received a letter from the Post Office informing him of the news.

David Laws said,

“I am delighted that Post Office Services are being restored in Merriott in Broadway Service Station on 2nd July.

“The Post Office has worked closely with Simon Bending, owner of the service station, to restore Post Office services to the village.

“Local residents will be relieved that services will not be lost.

“I hope that people in Merriott will use and support the Post Office services so that we can keep them for the future.”
