Laws comments on fire at fiveways school
David Laws, MP for Yeovil Constituency, today commented on the news of a serious fire at Fiveways School in Yeovil. The fire on Friday evening, caused by an electrical fault, damaged five classrooms used by the school, despite efforts by the fire brigade to control the damage.
David Laws MP said:
‘I am very sorry to hear of the fire at Fiveways School. I have spoken to the Head Teacher, Mark Collis, to offer any help that I can to the school during the clear-up process. There will of course now be a period of disruption as reconstruction takes place, but hopefully this will not be too long.’
‘I would also like to thank the local fire brigade, who were excellent and responded very swiftly to the fire and were successful in containing it.’
