Susan Kramer was guest of honour on Saturday’s Yeovil Liberal Democrat Constituency Supper.

Susan came to prominence during the battle to be the Mayor of London. As the Lib Dem candidate she held her own against an ever changing list of opponents - Jeffrey Archer, Steve Norris, Ken Livingstone and Frank Field – eventually winning the first or second preferences of over 40% of Londoners.

During her speech at the Lib Dem dinner she gave many delightful reminiscences of a turbulent and sometimes farcical campaign. She also gave an insiders perspective on the problems the Government are creating with their plans for the London Underground.

David Laws MP thanked Susan for taking the effort to come and wished her well in her work to improve transport.
