Mp praises local schools after six win achievement awards

David Laws, MP for Yeovil Constituency, has today praised local schools for their success in winning School Achievement Awards from the Government. The Awards were revealed in a letter from Schools Minister, Stephen Timms MP, to David Laws. The winning local schools were:
 Buckland St Mary Church of England Primary School
 Manor Court Community Primary School
 Milford Junior School
 Misterton Church of England First School
 Reckleford Infant and Nursery School
 Shepton Beauchamp Church of England First School

David Laws MP said:
“I am absolutely delighted that these six local schools have won an Achievement award from the Government for their recent success and improvement.

“All the staff, governors and pupils at the schools deserve credit for this excellent news.

“A good education for our young people is the best investment we can make- I am pleased that local schools are delivering on this aspiration.”
