Candidate for Yeovil South
Andy is an experienced community campaigner and is committed to working hard for the people of Yeovil South. Andy was born in Wimbledon but has lived in Yeovil since he was five years old. Andy went to Preston Comprehensive School in Yeovil. He then served an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker and joiner and has worked for several local companies.
In 1998 Andy joined GKN Westland working in the wood mill. During this time he was involved with the Union and became the Production Staff Convenor which he found both challenging and very rewarding.
Andy is passionate about our local area and has a particular interest in keeping manufacturing jobs in Yeovil, education and training, roads and public transport.

1. Education & Training
Andy will continue to campaign to keep manufacturing jobs in Yeovil. He has already been working hard to help those affected by job losses at GKN.
2. Education & Training
If elected Andy will work hard to improve the number of education and training courses available to workers in Yeovil, ensuring people have the skills for the modern workplace.
Andy is committed to working to get a road and traffic management system that works for Yeovil. We need people with local knowledge when making these decisions.
