Andy Kendall

Candidate for Yeovil Central

If elected as your County Councillor for the Electoral Division of Yeovil North and Central, I shall look after the interests of all residents regardless of political persuasion. I grew up and went to school in Yeovil, I served in the British Army for 23 years, then returned to Yeovil. Having experienced helping various countries around the world, I have brought these experiences to Yeovil where I continue to use this as an elected councillor.

My work as a local councillor is currently continuing to improve Yeovil, making it a safer and pleasant place to live. I have fought for more cameras in the subways and also upgrades of open spaces and parks.

My real passion is listening to local individuals, and fighting on our behalf to get answers regardless of whether or not the issue is resolved. I am hopefully known for never closing a door on an issue.

Andy’s three to fix

1. Community Safety

Andy will to continue to improve community safety. He has campaigned hard to get additional CCTV in the subways in Yeovil. This has now been implemented, and is also being monitored 24 hours a day.

2. Green spaces

Andy will improve our Green Spaces, keeping all Parks in Yeovil Central and North up to current standards, and constantly campaigned for upgrades. This has been proven in Summerhaze View and Kingston View.

3. Defibrillators

Andy is currently campaigning for defibrillators in public places, and more lights in public areas with paths. They will hopefully be completed in late 2017 at Milford Park.
